The Sherrill-Kenwood Library is organizing a meetup so patrons can attend together and enjoy the film as a group. Attendees are responsible for their own transportation to the theater.
The Librarians is an award-winning documentary film directed by Kim A. Snyder that chronicles the rise of organized book bans across the U.S. and follows librarians on the front lines defending intellectual freedom.
This free screening is sponsored by the Hamilton and Waterville public libraries and presented in partnership with PBS.
Registration is required through our library. Patrons do not need to obtain a ticket separately. A limited number of seats have been reserved for this meetup.
Please plan to meet in the theater lobby at 5:30 pm so we can gather as a group before the screening.
Following the film, there will be a moderated panel discussion to continue the conversation and explore the topics raised in the documentary.
